Tokaji Aszu is my go-to match with Christmas pudding - a much loved dessert wine with all my own family. Despite such a labour intensive method of picking each 'nobly-rotted' berry individually (picked by women in the vineyards of Tokaj region) - and macerating them with base wine followed by lengthy maturation - this Tokaji Aszu is available at a knockdown price.
Taste: Gentle honeyed notes, zesty vibrant acidity and caramel richness on the finish - this really is outstanding for the money.
